Reading a Store Flyer
In this task, the learner is presented with a flyer from PharmaPlus. The flyer has products under $6.00. The learner is required to show the amount, in bills or coins, that they would give a sales clerk for each item purchased. The learner will also need to estimate change they will receive from the sales clerk. Instructions are to be read to the learner.

The learner:
- Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides whole numbers and decimals
- Recognizes values in number and word format

- Begins to interpret integers, such as in a negative bank balance
- Identifies and performs required operation
- Interprets and represents costs using monetary symbols and decimals
- Follows apparent steps to reach solutions
- Rounds to the nearest dollar
- Uses strategies to check accuracy (e.g. estimating, using a calculator, repeating a calculation, using the reverse operation)
