NEW - Financial Literacy Task-based Activities
Post date: Thursday, March 22, 2018 - 15:18

This site has 24 new Financial Literacy activities.  Topics include comparing bank accounts, understanding how accounts are protected, to how to make a deposit through the bank's website.  I particularly like the activities that compare buying through rent to own companies and a regular store.  The one on calculating the difference between Payday Loans and Cash Advances is a must do.

QUILL is thankful to Libro Credit Union for providing the funding and to Project READ for doing the research and creating the task-based activities.  Thank you both!

Check them out by typing "Libro" into the Search bar, all 24 will come up for you to view.  Feel free to let us know what you think of them.

If you run into any difficulties on the site, email me - Debera Flynn at execdir@quillnetwork.ca

Browse the activities by GOAL PATH and/or LEVEL or use the search option to find the most appropriate resources for your students.

Task-Based Activities for LBS is a collection of activities aligned to the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF) and organized by stream, goal path and level. This fully searchable database provides task-based activities (available in Microsoft Word and PDF) to help you support your students in achieving their goals.
